I just saw Halloween Ends, it goes in an unexpected direction these franchises toyed with but never explored much. It’s not a big, explosive Michael Myers finale; it quietly contemplates on Haddonfield’s cycle of violence, how fear rots the town. I liked it but it’ll be divisive.
