Emergency appeal for GAZA
Since 7 october in Gaza:
Isreal killed at least 65109 (99 by day) people, including nearly 17,492 children more than 111,588 people injured and more than missing
2.5 million people live in Gaza
Since the establishment of Israel in 1948, the Palestinian people have endured numerous violations, oppression, and discrimination at the hands of the Zionist occupying power in the occupied Palestinian territories.
They face violence, forced displacement, land seizures, and severe repression by Israeli forces. This occupation is maintained through policies rooted in racism and discrimination based on race, religion, and identity.
The apartheid fence and separation wall between the West Bank and Israel restrict the movement of Palestinians, fragmenting their territories and isolating many communities from one another.
Palestinians experience systematic land confiscation and forced evictions, with the occupation periodically demolishing homes and facilities under questionable justifications. They also suffer violence from Israeli settlers in illegal settlements, who regularly attack Palestinians, their farms, and their properties, often without accountability from Israeli authorities.
In Lebanon, Palestinian refugees live under challenging conditions, often in overcrowded camps with limited access to basic services, education, and employment opportunities. The Lebanese government's restrictions on their rights further exacerbate their struggles, leaving many Palestinians in a state of economic and social marginalization. Tensions occasionally arise between Palestinian refugees and local communities, adding to the complexities of their situation.
Following the escalation of violence on October 7, 2023, the situation has dramatically worsened. Increased military operations in Gaza have led to a significant rise in casualties, with reports of extensive destruction of homes and infrastructure. The humanitarian crisis has deepened, with many families displaced and lacking access to essential services. The violence has also sparked protests and unrest in Lebanon, where Palestinian refugees are expressing their frustration over their plight and the worsening conditions in Gaza.
Both Palestinians and Lebanese face political, economic, and social oppression, with harsh security policies and barriers obstructing their daily lives. These measures undermine their rights to self-determination and violate fundamental human rights, including the right of return for Palestinian refugees.
Israel continues to disregard international laws and resolutions related to human rights and justice, ignoring the international community's calls to end the occupation, resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, and establish an independent Palestinian state. The ongoing suffering of both Palestinians and Lebanese reflects an unresolved crisis, highlighting the urgent need for a just and lasting solution. 🍽️ Meals Provide nourishing meals for families and individuals affected by the crisis.
