On this day in 2019 @realDonaldTrump became the first sitting President to tweet about #bitcoin. In an attempt at disparagement, the tweet thread was full of horrendous errors. Let's break it down. US ownership of #Bitcoin in 2018 was 2%. In 2022 it was 22%. By 2025 it will be 44%. By 2027 it will be over 75%. The true measure of #bitcoin adoption is the number of users who remain *after* a major price decline. That number has been increasing since inception at a fairly steady rate. It took 10 years to reach the first 20 million and 5 to reach the next 2 (Take 2 of this tweet, the original disappeared for no reason).
