When students ask how I learned Black history growing up I always talk to them about the importance of these books: the Ebony Pictorial History of Black America. I also emphasize that it was definitely NOT in schools.

The Mashpee Wampanoag were "given" a land grant in 2015, land that was stolen again in 2018 It's been less than a year since the tribe regained that land, just a small piece of what's rightfully theirs #NationalDayofMourning
