Housing was 70% of today's CPI increase. Housing is by far the largest input to the inflation index. Fed hikes are designed to hurt housing. housing jobs are gone, but prices aren't moving. More hikes won't help this. Supply is the problem. 

Blue line is the CPI Housing Component Red line is the effective fed funds rate. We are supposed to believe moving the red line higher will make the blue line go lower... This is 'fighting' inflation.. 

The Governor says the State is gonna pay for a temporary bridge to Pine Island out of our budget surplus. They started building it today.. Who the hell ever heard of something like this? 5 days after the storm, he's already started building a bridge.
